Grade-U Thin Plate
Description of Product:
Induction Iron's grade U is an extremely low carbon (typically less than .008 % carbon, and low manganese (typically less than .15% manganese) thin plate. It is an excellent source of iron units for the production of all stainless steel grades especially type L grades in air and vacuum melt induction furnaces. Because of its high percentage of Iron content (typically >= 99.6% Fe) it also is a good source of iron units for various chemical processes. As with all our other products, grade U is washed and dried so as to be free of any oil or contamination. The chemistry of our grade U is guaranteed to be within our published specifications.
